i got this for my son, who's know 2 1/2 months old. he likes to sit in it for a short period of time but then he want's to get out and be held and walked around. he's spoiled but he's my first child.

i first bought this for my friend as a shower gift (off her registry). she repeatedly told me how much her baby enjoyed the swing. So when i had my son, i registered for it, and she was right. My son loved this swing, would want to use it after he outgrew it (weight restrictions). We carried it everywhere with us. you wont' be sorry you got it.

Before deciding on a swing, I looked online. The shipping time frame was too long. My son is a week old and I really needed a swing. You know something to keep him entertained while I get things done around the house. So I went to the store to look for one. Of course the selection isn't big. I love that I can take swing anywhere! My son also likes it. Only thing, I haven't figured out how to break the swing down for traveling. Of course there was no directions in the manual to show you how. Other than that issue, I would recommend this swing.

My nanny has this swing at her house and my baby loves it! The best part is that is pretty quiet, and the design of the toy bar on top makes the hanging toys swing the whole time the swing moves, so it is mesmerizing for babies!

My newborn loves his swing and even falls asleep in it. The only downside is that the swing speed adjustment seems fast for a newborn even at the lowest speed. To be honest, I can't tell a big difference between the slow and fast speed.

To update my review mentioned above, I figured out the speed thing. As the baby gets heavier, the speed adjustment is more noticeable. With my heavier baby in it (16 lbs) the swing make a clunking noise and the swinging motion is not smooth. My friend has a different type of swing (also much bigger) that runs VERY smoothly. I would buy her type of swing next time. This swing was smooth and quiet only when my son was a newborn (now 5 months) The clunking and rigid movement doesn't bother my son and he can still fall asleep in it. So if that doesn't both you or the baby, this swing is good for the money.

I got this as a shower gift and love it my 7 week old son stares at the animals and its very supportive for his body. I also have the woodlands version of this same swing it leans back so his feet are higher than his head and looks like he can slip out the top. I recommend paying the little extra for the precious planet swing.

What a cute little swing. Our daughter loves this precious planet swing! One of the reviewers said that it accelerated on its own. When we first used it it seemed to be going quite fast, but I later realized it was because the legs were not spread and locked into position. I love that it does not take up too much room and I can just fold it, put it in the trunk and bring it along!

This is an adorable swing but I don't think my 5 month old likes it very much. He seems to like it a bit better now than he did when we first bought it (about 6 weeks ago), so it may just be him. At first he actually cried when we put him in it, now it will buy me about 20 mintues in the morning while I'm getting ready before he starts getting fussy. But overall a good swing for the price... and the motor is very good on it.

We bought this swing becasue we travel back and forth bewteen Ohio and Atlanta and needed something portable to take with us. This swing has been great ! We use it even to have him sleep in when we are at hotels or for naps. He loves the music and although it has a little noise when it swings I think the noise actually helps him sleep. I do not know ow it works on new borns but we have used it since he was 3 months and he is now 6 months old.
